I’ve been saying for the past couple of years that this rose is tied for first place with my Earth Angel parfum, but I think Eden takes the cake.
It is such a vigorous grower, so hardy, and a tremendous vase life when I cut these roses bouquets. It’s absolutely a must in your Seattle-area garden, if you like roses! It resembles a peony in its cupped stage, which is partly why I bought her in the first place. But it will bloom all season long instead of once a year. 🥰
I am in my 6th season with Eden, after I purchase her as a bare root rose from PNW grower @heirloomroses, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how she performs. I am not an avid gardener when it comes to tending to things and I am very organic. (AKA a lazy gardener.) I let nature do its thing for the most part, and I just love the ease of this rose.
Eden Climber® features large, old fashioned, fully double, 4 1/2”, cupped blooms with 100+ petals. Her blooms are a delightful blend of pastel pinks, creams, and yellows. Eden Climber® is a vigorously growing, disease-resistant plant and a versatile Climber ideal for small or large gardens. Fellow lazy gardener! Most of my favorite plants in our yard came with the house, or we planted them before we had kids. The Eden rose looks gorgeous - wish I had smell-a-vision!
@suitcasesinseattle 👯 Lazy Gardeners, Unite! This one has a very subtle floral scent, but makes up for it in every other way! That’s why my Earth Angel is right up there as a top fave— that one’s scent is absolutely to die for!

A scenic paved 2.2-mile loop road winds through the park’s forested hills and meadows with views of the San Juan Islands and Olympic Mountains.
The views are absolutely stunning at multiple view points! You can even get out of your car and explore a bit on the loop.
This is why I live here in the Puget Sound Region, for access to amazing scenery, quick day trips or weekend getaways— and why I never want to take vacations outside of the PNW when we have the most amazing climate and summertime weather!

I truly love so many types of music, and love anything that can make me dance, rock out, or *feel* something. The only thing I don’t like is country. Sorry not sorry. (Except Americana style country or older country rock.)
I am always listening to music in my car, and often hyping myself up on my way to interview with prospective clients. One of my go-to hype songs is “Let’s Go” by Ne-Yo/Calvin Harris.
It might surprise you what I listen to, and I have some really funny concert stories that you should ask me about sometime. If you already know what I mean, I’ve told you in the past. 🤪

Next week, however, the side yard transformation begins, and I’ve hired a local landscaper to transform my rose garden side yard into a lower maintenance, low water-needs, and pollinator-friendly English cottage vibe.
Today’s tour brought a huge smile to my face, as I saw that my bee friends are starting to get pollen from my Spanish lavender, and my Cecile Brunner rose behind it is getting into full bloom.
In my rose garden area, the first full bloom of my favorite rose (Eden climber) is here, and the rest of my roses are about to go wild.
I can’t wait to relax in the garden this year and soak in my favorite months. 🥹
