stephsellsseattle Exactly 1 year ago today on a crisp Sunday morning, we had a trial visit with a rescue dog named Honey. My husband had sent me her listing less than 48 hours earlier, and it all happened so quickly. Her foster parents brought her in, and she was a little smaller than I was expecting (in a good way), and once the tippy taps of her nails hit our hardwood floors, my heart was won over. I was missing that sound so much after losing our doggie Parker in Nov. 2023. We exchanged a few glances during that trial visit, and knew she would be staying— she was home. We kept the name Honey, because it is just so perfect for her. Besides being an absolute diva with going potty in the cold and the rain, she is a literal angel. She’s a cuddle bug, so gentle with little kids, barely barks, and just so damn loving. stephsellsseattle I believe in the safety of home. Whether it is in the 4 walls of shelter, your street, your community, your state, and your country. I have been having a lot of these conversations with folks in the last year, and making sure if they don't feel safe, that they know they can lean on me. ------------------- Love Thy Neighbor: Last night, when my neighbor arrived home I happened to be outside. She is a Black Muslim woman, and wears a hijab. I asked if she felt her family was safe, with everything in the world, and we had a nice long conversation. She said that in our community on our street she feels safe, but she has never felt safe on her commute into the city - not since she started taking the transit in 2018. She’s always worried for her family that lives across the country; always worried that when her sister calls her each day, she will say something bad happened. But she was also so optimistic and full of care and love for others, even if she has so many worries. I said, the best thing we can do is care for and love our neighbors, and hope that by leading by example things can get better in the world. Things feel so overwhelming, but it starts at home. It starts in our communities. On our streets. At the house next door.

stephsellsseattle My Friday as a Greater Seattle Realtor | Snoqualmie Valley Edition // Today was such a gorgeous day to drive along the Snoqualmie Valley and take in the blue skies, trees, and Cascade Mountain views 😍 I started off with meeting my clients at a lovely home to tour, which also happened to be a brokers’ open at the same time. The listing agent was there as a resource for questions, and then I didn’t have to worry about locking up and turning off lights. 😜 It was a quiet turnout, so it still felt ultra private. I drove through my old stomping grounds on the way there and back, and I never take for granted the incredible riverfront views, and I like to reminisce about my time living in Fall City. on the way home, I stopped in to the historic & sunny @aromacoffeeco for a Fall City Fog drink and treat to share with my kiddo. When I was leaving, the owner of @vintage_flea_store_fallcity_wa was walking her dog, and that was my next stop on my agenda! The timing was perfect, and Toby greeted everyone at the counter after settling back in. This is one of my favorite thrift stores, and there’s a lot of goodies at reasonable prices. I also blasted @harrystyles’ new song Aperture the entire way 😌 Anyone else play a song over and over when they get fixated on it? Now I’m back home, gathering property details and enjoying the fact that it’s still sunny at 5pm! stephsellsseattle 1️⃣3️⃣ // Wow. It is VERY hard to believe that I am now the mother of a teenager 🥹. I started this career the week before my baby boy turned 1, and to be here now is so surreal. I’ve been documenting his growth with this elephant since he was 4 months old, and it’s still going strong. Our Honey girl now gets to join the party, and I am just so grateful. We cheers’d with some birthday boba, and I look forward to bearing witness to another year of growth. My greatest blessing. 💕
