stephsellsseattle This is a HUGE tip that I rarely hear anyone talk about, and something that I advise my clients to do as soon as they hire me to be their advocate. Most people have things lost in their sea of emails, over text, or maybe printed somewhere in a random junk drawer that they haven’t seen in years. My advice? ALWAYS save it to one spot. Or better yet, have a physical copy of everything AND a digital copy. Get a binder and save your invoices, paint selections, warranties, manuals, home repair info, maintenance records, and anything related to *home.* This will help you prepare for selling your home in many ways: it will support the value of your listing, it helps me better communicate to the future buyer, and if you need to touch anything up prior to sale, you’ll already have exactly what you need to reference. It’s also a pro tip for insurance purposes, which is why having it saved digitally and physically is a solid plan. A calm nervous system is such a gift, and the more prepared you are, the less chaos you’ll feel when it comes time to selling your home.
